Kyla Marie Interiors is a rapidly growing boutique Residential Design company based in Squamish, BC. We service the Sea to Sky Corridor & the Lower Mainland. Our projects include residential new builds, renovations, kitchen & bath design, and full-service interior design. We are passionate about what we do and treat every project as if it was our own home. We truly believe our spaces we live in should support our physical, spiritual and mental wellbeing. We offer a collaborative approach, and work along side our clients, fabricators, and engineers, to both enrich the architecture of your home and enhance the lifestyle of our clients.
Positions available
Technical Designer, CAD Tech. | Contract, remote
We are looking for a talented architectural technician to help contribute to current projects, as well as lead new upcoming projects. This is a contract role to support ongoing projects. Potential to grow into a full-time position. Time commitment will be discussed with the successful candidate. Suitable for a someone who wants to grow with our Company.
About You -
You appreciate art and architecture, you love to create, and want to hone in on your eye for design. You have a degree in Architectural & Building Technology or equivalent, or minimum 2 years experience in a professional design firm. You work great both independently and in a team with minimal supervision. You have extensive knowledge of BC Building Codes. You are proficient in AutoCAD and Sketch-up and have have high level of attention to the smallest of details.
Roles -
To collaborate with lead designer throughout various project phases & to be able to provide creative input on design details.
To interpret conceptual designs to generate full working drawings, including; construction details, custom millwork shop drawings, permit packages.
Review, interpret, and apply building codes to ensure that the designs meet local requirements.
Occasional modelling and 3D rendering for visualization.
Engage and procure sub consultants; building envelope engineers, structural engineers, energy consultants, geotechnical, ROWP etc.
Participate in meetings and build/maintain a professional working relationship with clients, vendor’s, sub-consultants.
Ability to work through revisions, obstacles, and tight deadlines with a positive attitude.
Must have your own working computer and access to reliable internet.

Admin Guru, Operations | Part-time or contract, remote
About You -
You’re a self-starter, love to take initiative and keep things moving. You have exceptional administration and bookkeeping experience and are willing to learn and able to follow direction with versatility. You’re efficient, effective and able to work calmly under pressure. You’re extremely organized and detail oriented.
Roles -
Software: Studio Designer & Stripe Payments. Can provide training.
Bookkeeping Tasks: Keep track of job expenses, receipt organization, send invoices to clients, accept and record payments. Process accounts payable ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Proposals & Estimates: Proofread proposals, create estimates, source furniture and pricing, create purchase orders.
Project Management: Assist in purchasing & procurement, keep track of orders and ETA’s ensuring projects stay on timeline. Make travel, meeting and other arrangements with sub consultants or clients.
Occasionally help with social media and website updates.
Occasionally run errands to pick up/drop off items.
This is a part-time or contract position with potential to grow into a full-time position. Time commitment will be discussed with the successful candidate. Suitable for a someone who wants to grow with our Company.
